My Life In The United States

I am here so called the United States since august 2009 and i have been spending my precious time wondering around the city. So, which city i am in right now? i hope you guys do not think highly of me when you guys see the world "THE UNITED STATES". Yep, I am now in US but not in the city where most of you saw on TV or videos. I am so far right now in a city called Wichita situated in the state of Kansas. Kansas is a state located just right in the middle of US. So, if you want to look for it in the map, just straight away go and see it in the middle. You will definitely find it without a doubt. So, Enough about my place, Let's Talk about my life. Let's start the question with Am i really enjoying being here? Well, that is a good question and i would answer kind of. For your information, US is my dream country that i have always wished to go there. So, you guys can think how happy i was when the plane landed to the LAX air port. But then still, things such as culture, food and people were not the same as i expected before i came here. Maybe, i expected too much as others did. So, things did not turn out as i expected and i felt kinda lost or disappointed. However, i am kind of getting used to their culture and food but not the people. People here are friendly and reliable but then still for us (International Students) to get to know them well is a big mission for every one of us. I did try to best to break the ice but still not succeed yet. Nevertheless, I am still trying my best to be able to communicate well with them. At first, i felt that my English was pretty weak when i spoke with the natives. It was hard for them to understand when i was saying. My speech was not as smooth as i did back in Malaysia. I was kind of intimidated and hard to get to the point. I believed that everyone must encounter such problems at first because our first language is not English. We have to accept the fact that their English is better than us and we still have to go a long way to be able to speak like them. So, i was inspired by myself thinking in the positive way and things are turning out pretty well. I am really satisfy with the efforts that i have done so far and i believe every problem that i encountered before will soon be eliminated.
